JOB SUMMARY
The Plant Operator is responsible for collecting and analyzing samples throughout the Ethanol Process, including Milling, Cook, Fermentation, Evaporation, Distillation/Dehydration, Centrifuges/Dryers and Water Treatment.
SALARY
$22-$29/hr – Commensurate with experience
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reports to the Board Operator and the Lead Operator any analyses that are not in operating specification so changes to the process can be made.
- Trained to handle and mix various chemicals that are added to the process.
- Learn the process flows throughout the plant and assist other team members in troubleshooting the plant process.
- Trained to operate the plant from the Distributive Control System.
- The Plant Operator will be part of a four-team member crew.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous related plant work experience preferred
- Ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Ability to follow direction and Standard Operating Procedures in a safe manner
- Ability to speak, read, write and comprehend basic English
- High School Diploma or GED
