JCSI Vs. The Job Boards
“We do a lot of work that’s classified, we look for niche positions that often need security clearances. We’ve gone on the job boards Monster, etc. We are an affirmative action employer so we do have to post jobs, but often times we don’t get the type of candidate that we need, the people we’re looking for just aren’t out there. The people we need are not actively looking for a new position. Often times we’re seeking passive candidates and that’s where JCSI has helped us out.”
JCSI Vs. The Headhunter
“We’ve used headhunters and it was a huge disappointment, they would just throw resumes at us and hope something would stick. Often times the candidate wasn’t even a fit. We paid a lot of money for that. The nature of government contracting is not the same as working for a commercial company. Every dollar that we spend, everything we do is scrutinized and JCSI was able to bring in qualified people and break down how every dollar, every hour was spent.”
JCSI Vs. The Contract Recruiter
“We used contract recruiters and it didn’t work. The contract recruiter came in with a mind-set ‘I’m going to push a ton of volume at them and hope that it works.’ Often times contract recruiters don’t understand our company, don’t understand our needs, and don’t really care. They’re using the same tools that we have. JCSI just does so much more.”
JCSI & The Bottom Line
“We’ve made three really key hires. The whole experience has been outstanding. We had one of the best successes using JCSI . The president of Shafer came to me in December and said he needed to replace the general manager. Again, this is a niche position, you can’t just bring anybody in and we had less than three months to find the hire. The quality of the candidate that JCSI brought in couldn’t have been a better match. I honestly don’t think an executive recruiter would have found this hire because he wasn’t actively looking.”
