JCSI Acts of Kindness #55--Community Harvest
July 26th, 2018
In JCSI's ongoing list of Acts of Kindness committed by employees for 2018, #55 turned out to be a real winner! Although this July may be on record as one of the hottest months in New England's weather-recording history, for a group of JCSI staff and family members the heat and humidity didn't dampen the team's resolve to help out at the Community Harvest Project, a non-profit farm that grows fruits and vegetables for needy people.
The farm relies heavily on volunteers, so the JSCI team took time out on a hot July morning to pick vegetables and weed for hours so the fresh produce can be shared with homeless shelters and needy people across Worcester County. The farm work was followed by a hearty and nutritious lunch back at JCSI headquarters. Thanks to all who participated in a great event for a worthy cause!
